Let’s be honest among the many possible health supplements everyone takes some sort of vitamin supplements or has taken them at some point of their lives. A good, well-balanced and of course nutritional diet should be able to provide us with the right doses of vitamins we need but because the average home doesn’t really adhere to those rules as much as our parents did, we’ve pretty much needed to find alternative methods.
There are actually quite a number of vitamin requirements that we as humans have to fulfil. Here are a couple of the most common and the ones which can be helped by taking vitamin supplements.
Vitamin C – The stuff oranges are packed with. Vitamin C is one of the most famous vitamins around but is unfortunately still one of the most popular in terms of deficiency. Vitamin C is important because it is important for growth, especially for young kids and is needed to ensure that proper development takes place. It is also extremely important when it comes t cell regeneration and the healing of scars and wounds. Without it we wouldn’t be able to produce collagen and as a result we would have a hard time forming blood vessels. Since it is an anti-oxidant it also has a variety of super powers when it comes to helping out our immune system.
Vitamin D – In terms of vitamins, vitamin D is a little different in that one type of it can actually be produced by the body. Other than the fact that this vitamin is important for bone development, lack of it can end in very painful and life threatening diseases. Common conditions include high blood pressure as well as psychological ailments such as depression. Since the type of Vitamin D that is produced by the body needs sunlight in order to be produced, it is important to get enough sun in order for this vitamin to be produced.
Vitamin B – These complex vitamins are responsible for our proper cognitive function which is why they are an important vitamin as far as our bodies are concerned. These vitamins are also important when it comes to strength and coordination. They play a vital role in our bodies because they are necessary to turn our food, or the components in our food like carbohydrates into actual fuel for our bodies.
Although advances have been made we still aren’t able to overcome all of these deficiencies through food. Make it easier with vitamin supplements.
