In order to be effective weight loss supplements do one of two things or a combination of both; that is they either block any fat that may enter your system or two they may suppress your appetite. There are also fat burning supplements which actually burn fat and help you lose weight quicker and more effectively.
Supplements that inhibit fat are typically take 30 minutes before meals so that they can be registered by the brain. After that you can eat as normal but the fat is inhibited and is instead released which is why these supplements result in an oily stool. Similarly fat burning capsules also have a similar effect. In the case of appetite suppressants the goal is to make you feel full, which helps to lessen the amount of food that you eat and eventually helps you lose the weight.
What is the best weight loss supplement for you?
Choosing the right supplement is really dependent on your body type, weight and current conditions that you may have. For example, there are some supplements that contain caffeine. Since caffeine can help you lose weight this isn’t really surprising but for the many people who can’t drink caffeine this may pose a problem.
Allergies are another issue. Since most people have some sort of allergy or another it isn’t surprising that allergies can crop up when taking weight loss supplements. Allergies can cause rashes or itching and in some cases cause difficulty breathing.

Your doctor should be able to tell you which supplements will work best for your weight loss goal.
